Project Manager - SAP(Japanese) - Dalian 

Job description

This role is responsible for leading a project team in delivering a solution to the customer using the appropriate business measurements and terms and conditions for the project according to the project charter, project agreement or contract. They have overall performance responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables, which includes applying techniques for planning, tracking, change control, and risk management. They are responsible for managing all project resources, including subcontractors, and for establishing an effective communication plan with the project team and the customer. They provide day to day direction to the project team and regular project status to the customer.

Required

Bachelor's Degree

At least 3 years experience in SAP project management and deep knowledge with one major SAP module

At least 5 years experience in consulting firms

English: Basic knowledge

Japanese: Fluent

Preferred

Certified in PMP certificate

Additional information

1. Good skills in spoken and written Japanese, with open and professional communication style

2, At least 6 years experience from consulting firms or 8 years internal experience from industry with SAP project leadership experience. (SAP experience will be a plus)

Usually a Migration Manager is a short term Transition Manager (pure PM role, does not require SAP technical skills). Since this is a different model and requirement. We will need Industry or Competency support to identify this delivery lead candidate. Tony or Chen Da Yong (he is the only experienced SAP & Migration guy in GDC) can provide training on Migration Methodology.

Approach potential customers (foreign and domestic companies).

Cold calls to contact potential customers

Attend conferences and professional events.

Follow up with potential customers

Undertake research work and write reports both in English (or Japanese) and Chinese.、

Arrange agenda for potential customers visiting Chengdu and the Tianfu Software Park.

Management of relationship with 3rd Party partners.

Play the role of Key Account Manager.

“MUST HAVE”S :  

Fluent English (or Japanese) speaking

Has experience in Key Account development

WORK EXPERIENCE: 

At least 3 years experience in IT/software industry or in Sales/Consulting

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS: 

Experience abroad and in real estate is a plus

Compensation Range       :     80k-180k per year, depends on experience
